FAQs

  1. How long does it take before my article is published? Publication depends on workload. However, you will be notified when your story goes live.
  2. How long does my article need to be? In most cases a good story is going to be 800 words at the very least. There is no cap, however, on the maximum length.
  3. Is there a format you’re looking for? Article format depends on the piece. Narratives and personal stories can be written paragraphically. How-Tos and advice articles should be written in sections, numerical or bullet chunks. And great How-Tos include images and screenshots.
  4. What can I do to ensure my piece gets published? Not every submission will qualify for publication. We are looking for high-quality content that is useful to our audience. Measures you can take to ensure your work is published is: consult us first about the story, think about the audience and ensure your content serves them. Write well, write in a way that’s easy to understand. Include helpful illustrations or images to convey complex ideas. If you submit a story or submit an article and it is rejected, you will be told why and are welcome to rewrite it.
  5. What am I getting for submitting a story? If you like to help those who are passionate about writing and worldbuilding or just want some writing experience, this is your chance. For professionals who want a way to promote themselves or even a service, this is a great opportunity. Professionals wanting to promote a service – that service must be beneficial to the QnD audience and it should not necessarily be the primary focus of your writing submission.
