Welcome to Quark & Dagger

You have a story. A great story. A story in another world, another universe, another dimension or another time. And you’re ready to write that story. But you might be learning that it takes more than pen and paper to make it great. That’s because what you’re creating isn’t just a narrative, it’s a whole world.

Even though we haven’t heard it before, we believe in your story. We believe in making that thought – that world – that epic legend come alive.

Quark & Dagger is a writing group whose mission is to create a world for the creators of worlds. Our resources are provided in an effort to support the architecture of your story. We aren’t limiting ourselves to solely creative writing topics and structured critiques; though, that is a huge part of what we do, we are emphasizing the organization, research and deep consideration it takes to make your fantasy or scifi story feel as real to the reader as it feels to you.

This website is supplemental to the group meetings, and offers a wealth of resources specifically designed for fantasy and scifi writing. Even if you are not directly part of the group, we encourage you to explore the page for helpful information. Our resources include articles and printable guide sheets that help organize the world building process.

Our online resources are open to anyone, no matter age or your relationship to the group.
